Police department of district Dera Ghazi Khan has arrested several notorious and most wanted car lifters in recent operations with the support of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell's team. These offenders have confessed of lifting vehicles from various districts of Punjab including Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Rajanpur, Bhakkar and Dera Ghazi Khan. While most of these cars were smuggled to the province of Baluchistan and KPK, a few of them were being sold and used locally. Vehicle laboratory tests were performed on these cars to decipher the original chassis/VIN numbers and identify the owners. Vehicles were also handed over to their actual owners during joint press conferences at Police Line of District Dera Ghazi Khan.
